			<item><title>Winner of 2013 Mercuriades Innovation Award</title><description><![CDATA[<p class="img"><img alt="" src="http://avr-vr.com/i//Trophee_Mercuriades-110px.jpg"></p><p>The 2013 Mercuriades Contest presented by The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) was held at the Palais des congrès of Montreal yesterday. AV&amp;R Vision &amp; Robotics, finalist in the <em><a href="http://www.mercuriades.ca/gagnants-mercuriades-2013.php" target="_blank">Innovation</a></em>* category, was amazed and delighted to win the coveted trophy.</p>
<p>This award, sponsored by Investissement Québec, rewards innovation strategies of three types: technological products, innovation in processes and in industrial design.</p>
<p>Moreover, at its surprise, AV&amp;R was one of the finalists for the <em>Business of the Year </em>Award.</p>
<p>Many thanks to the FCCQ for this honour, which is Quebec's most prestigious prize for business, trade and entrepreneurship.</p>

<p>1. <em>Civil Aviation Manufacturing</em> (CAM) held in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 7-8, 2013.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>Aviation Week's Civil Aviation Manufacturing Conference </em>will provide a unique platform to bring together the leaders of major manufacturers and suppliers to discuss manufacturing capabilities: examining, evaluating, and where possible, putting common solutions and best practices into place.</p>

			<item><title>AV&amp;R on TV!</title><description><![CDATA[<p class="img"><img alt="" src="http://avr-vr.com/i//BNN-logo-110px.jpg"></p><p>Used to seeing AV&amp;R in the news? Of course. Used to seeing AV&amp;R on TV? Not yet!</p>
<p>Last Thursday, Eric Beauregard, AV&amp;R's President &amp; CEO, was interviewed by Tony Keller, the host of Headline, a live show on the Business News Network (BNN) usually hosted by Howard Green. This show's subject was "Canadian Exporters You've Never Heard of..."</p>
<p>AV&amp;R Vision &amp; Robotics was selected as one of the "Exporters you should know" to be presented during this TV show. Mr. Keller wanted to learn more about AV&amp;R's present efforts to export in new geographical markets, mainly in Russia and Singapore.</p>

<p>Known as a world leader in aerospace and the gas turbine industry, it is only natural that this longest established publication focusing on the aero-engine business included AV&amp;R in its yearbook. 			<item><title>AV&amp;R in Les Affaires and at Radio-Canada</title><description><![CDATA[<p class="img"><img alt="" src="http://avr-vr.com/i//Affaires-Radiocab-110.jpg"></p><p>In a special section on the first edition of <em><a href="http://smepassport.com/" target="_blank">SME Passport</a></em>, an internationalization assistance program created by <em>the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal</em>, the journal <em>Les Affaires</em> portrays the companies selected by this program and their objectives. AV&amp;R was therefore mentioned in <a href="/documents/lesaffaires-av&amp;r-oct2012-passeport_pme.pdf" target="_blank">this issue</a>.*</p>
<p>In&nbsp;its Economy Class program, <em>Radio-Canada</em>'s radio interviewed two companies selected by the <em>SME Passport </em>program in July. Eric Beauregard, president of AV&amp;R, was interviewed to explain what the benefits were for an SME already exporting more than 80% of its revenue to win assistance for export. He explained that, as many SMEs, exportation is done instinctively and that, with the help of this program, this time it will be done strategically, hoping it will reduce costs and provide faster results. This honour will be presented at the gala held on November 22 at the Windsor Station in Montreal.</p>
<p>"The <em>Innovation Prize - Product</em> is awarded to a company that has recently developed and introduced to the market a product whose novelty is evident, giving it a competitive advantage in its industry and market. [...] The new or significantly improved product has experienced a remarkable commercial success and a positive undeniable impact on the company, particularly in terms of competitive advantage in its sector, increased sales, improved strategic positioning and increased profitability."</p>

Within this theme, Michael Mecham interviewed Eric Beauregard, AV&amp;R's CEO.</p>

			<item><title>Recognized in the Industry</title><description><![CDATA[<p class="img"><img alt="" src="http://avr-vr.com/i//nouvelle.jpg"></p><p>AV&amp;R is recognized by the major players in the aerospace industry and Quebec's manufacturing sector as a well-established company with a valuable opinion of its activity sectors.</p>
<p>Thereby, Aero Montreal and Quebec's Industrial Subcontracting (STIQ), two important groupings in Quebec, recently contacted AV&amp;R to participate in the development of testimony videos on their respective fields.</p>
<p>Aero Montreal has created a promotional video presenting Quebec's aerospace sector as a symbol of national pride. This grouping has interviewed Mr. Eric Beauregard, President of AV&amp;R, asking him to give his opinion why the Montreal aerospace cluster is such a great success.
